Yaaba Education is the educational branch of Yaaba Funk,
formed by the 8 professional music education facilitators in our band.
We run a series of interactive, fun and creative music workshops
in schools, in adult education and in the corporate sector.
Drumming Workshops:
We are very experienced in facilitating African, Brazilian and
Cuban Drumming workshops for all ages, levels and group sizes.
Whether you want to have just one single fun session with your class or
you want to study drumming in depth and perform,
we provide a fun, engaging and dynamic learning environment for your group.

Teacher Training:
If you are a class teacher and want to be able to confidently lead drumming workshops
in your school, get the training you need to have the confidence you need:
we have designed a special seminar for teachers like you, showing you what to
focus on when leading groups. Learn all the little tricks you need,
gain experience
and get your confidence up to run large workshops and lead performances.
We also give you different workshop pieces as repertoire which we will tailor make
to your students age group and playing level, so you can get started straight away.

Creativity and Composition Seminar:
Everyone can write music and be creative!
We run composition and creativity seminars for adults and young people.
These seminars demystify the process of musical composition
and have you compose your own music straight away.
In these workshops we teach you a lot of general musicianship skills in
a playful, fun way, as well as different approaches to improvisation.

Family Learning.
Our composition and creativity seminars are ideal for
intergenerational learning in your community and for
bringing together families in a musically creative
environment. This workshop is very adaptable to the clients
focus, interests and individual needs.
