Yaaba Funk have had a busy and productive 2011 so far.

Sauti Za Busara music festival, Zanzibar.  African Music Under African Skies.
It was a great experience and we made some good friends.

Amnesty International 50th Anniversary.
We were happy to play for the 50th anniversary celebrations for Amnesty International.
We hope that in 50 years time they will not be needed!

Sheffield Tramlines.  Yaaba played the World Music stage at Sheffield Tramlines Festival,
which is a great event. Thanks to Alan Deadman for the invite.

Recyclart Brussels. Yaaba Funk played their debut concert in Belgium this year at Recyclart in Brussels. It went down a storm. Thanks to Dirk Seghers for inviting us.

The Big Chill Festival. The band also played at the Big Chill for the first time.
Headlining the Global Local stage on Sunday night. Great vibes!

Decibel Performing Arts Showcase in Manchester this year. This is a high profile event bringing delegates from around the world to witness the best of UK’s diverse arts practitioners.

We are very happy with the results so far and are excited about how it is going to sound.
